Tuesdays with Lappy
the whole of my tuesday was spent at home with nothing but my lappy.
welcome to " Tuesdays with Lappy" instead of "Tuesdays with Morrie". hahaha!! anyways, I slept as early as 4.30am in the morning and managed to catch like 8 hours of sleep for the day. had actually intended to go to the driving center but then I was too lazy to get my bum out of the house and so had a short discussion with my FYP mates with regards to the meeting on thursday and the new dateline to be met. shortly after, I had decided to start working on part of the project as I have only half of wednesday and half of thursday to complete the task in order to be able to submit on time. Only managed to do a very small part of it due to the fact the absence of my mood.
Took the time to watch some movies that have been stored in my lappy for quite a period of time, like at least 1 year.HAHA
watched the show entitled " Helen the Baby Fox". It's quite a touching show that moved me to tears. The storyline was perfect and the moral of the story seems to teach us to " Life our Lives to the Fullest". guess I would just watch the same show for the second and third time without getting bored.
was just surfing some link on the internet which was sent to my sister and guess what??!!? the two of us just scream at home like nobody's business...hahaha! some lame horror link but still manages to scare the shit out of me..haha! we can just go mad at home like that.!!
that's tuesdays with lappy for you!! lols..
haha..okay! think that's all for now..=D

haha.. one full day or should I say half a day was spent on and with floorball. more or less became my partner of life.HAHAHA! anyways, was at jurong west sports and recreation since the morning as early as 8.25 am because we were required to report at 8.30am and as usual I'm always the earliest and partly due to the fact that I live quite near that area too. Shortly after, yana, duck and joreen came in. haah..some were late cos they live like the other end of the island and so take a longer time for travelling...
first match is always very tiring as our muscles are still very stiff and inflexible. Found my body muscles very stiff in the morning and requires a longer time to warm them up and so we did quite a few rounds around the court since we are early and the nus need not use the court yet. that was quite sufficient to warm my body up because I was dripping wet after that though...haa..
the game went well.. managed to have better communication system(bluetooth device). haha! yup but think my play was better yesterday I guess..... still there are plenty to work on. watched the rest of the matches, zarf - moosemen, zapf-a squirrettes, part of pasirian - nus before heading off to glcc for the Vibe cafe invitation that I had been informed of in advance. food was great, played the board games and at the same time was a short singing performance by some youths. stayed on till about 9+ before I left.
a whole day out! =D
later will be out to watch floorball again...

so weird of a person to blog so early in the morning. I have probably gotten up too early once again due to the match that would take place later in the morning. also that the frequency of my entries lesser than others...hahahaha!!
yesterday was nothing much but just training project meeting and nothing else but home. training was held at 9am in the morning and due to the holidays, my body clock has changed and reset to suit the holidays but just yesterday I had to set it to the morning mode due to the early training. Reached school earlier than the rest I guess and so I read my newpaper in the canteen first thinking that the court would be locked. Then decided to walk over slowly at about 8.40am but still there was only the coach, reena, dinee and phillicia only. just the few of us and all of them were late for the training session. consisted of mjc students and adroits. it's the first time that the training was so overcrowded with people. after training, headed to bishan library for some discussion with regards to our FYP project and it ended after about 2 hours approximately.
although I went offline early last night but still I could not get to sleep and not sure what was the time I actually manage to get to sleep despite being tired from the day. haha!!
*just hope I will play well later and not have stiff muscles during the game because it always happens to me in a morning game when the body is not warmed up and is super stiff*
alright..off i go for my match..
see ya all.. take care!!

MAD
wondering if my body has just gone haywire during this holiday break. sleeping as early as 4.15 in the morning and getting up at 11 the next day. total mad-ness!!!
had skools training in the evening just yesterday after a tortured bus journey that took 2 hours from my place, which is in the west to the east and on the way, there are people blasting the music in their phones that could seem quite inconsiderate to the rest who were trying to rest as much as they can after a long day at work, school or whatsoever. there did not seem to be peace until they alighted. guess the music somehow invited "mr head-egg" to me. he somehow changed my mood about training. training as usual was high in intensity and finally game time. weee!!
a normal person would be super tired the moment they get home after training but I'm just different. the moment I step into the house, I become super-ly awake and still manage to stay up till 3 at least. totally crazy! after that still could not sleep and so I got out my psp and played one game which lasted me like 1hour. finally got into bed at 4.15 which was not much of what i expect after a tiring day at training. what to do.. holidays always resets my body clock!
I wonder why I'm so prone to injuries? is it cos im just unfit or that they are so worn out that they injure the moment "wrong footing" takes place?
haha.. anyways..
take care toots!!
*hugs*

terrible!
today, went down to jurong west stadium from bukit panjang by train and so I met wannie there since she was also on the way. in the end we ended up cabbing to the stadium but guess what? it took us 2 cabs to get to the stadium. first cab we boarded... " uncle, jurong west stadium." but he asked us where it was so I replied " opposite blk 643". did not notice that he was talking on the phone until I heard him talk something about crocodile and went"huh??". that he said he was talking to his daughter. after that he didn't know the way and when we claimed we were late already, he wanted to send us back and so u-turned but of course we wouldn't want to end up in the queue again so we alighted somewhere we dunno where. tried to hit another cab down the road. got the cab 5 mins later and got to know that it was just down the road. she was so pissed offf...hahahaha!!
managed to catch half of Pasirian-Combined Skools match, RP Salibandy-NTU Hurricanes match, match between ZAPF-LMFC and one period of NUS jupitans-FC squirrettes game. went straight to my aunt's place for dinner after that but couldn't eat cos I ate before leaving and that was the first meal of the day..lols... dinner was great.! *thanks for the meal*
guess, that was how my sunday was like..=DD

Valentine's Day
I had the sudden urge to read about how Valentine's Day came about..
here it goes..
history history ",
February 14 is Valentine's Day. Although it is celebrated as a lovers' holiday today, with the giving of candy, flowers, or other gifts between couples in love, it originated in 5th Century Rome as a tribute to St. Valentine, a Catholic bishop.
For eight hundred years prior to the establishment of Valentine's Day, the Romans had practiced a pagan celebration in mid-February commemorating young men's rite of passage to the god Lupercus. The celebration featured a lottery in which young men would draw the names of teenage girls from a box. The girl assigned to each young man in that manner would be his sexual companion during the remaining year.
In an effort to do away with the pagan festival, Pope Gelasius ordered a slight change in the lottery. Instead of the names of young women, the box would contain the names of saints. Both men and women were allowed to draw from the box, and the game was to emulate the ways of the saint they drew during the rest of the year. Needless to say, many of the young Roman men were not too pleased with the rule changes.
Instead of the pagan god Lupercus, the Church looked for a suitable patron saint of love to take his place. They found an appropriate choice in Valentine, who, in AD 270 had been beheaded by Emperor Claudius.
Claudius had determined that married men made poor soldiers. So he banned marriage from his empire. But Valentine would secretly marry young men that came to him. When Claudius found out about Valentine, he first tried to convert him to paganism. But Valentine reversed the strategy, trying instead to convert Claudius. When he failed, he was stoned and beheaded.
During the days that Valentine was imprisoned, he fell in love with the blind daughter of his jailer. His love for her, and his great faith, managed to miraculously heal her from her blindness before his death. Before he was taken to his death, he signed a farewell message to her, "From your Valentine." The phrase has been used on his day ever since.
Although the lottery for women had been banned by the church, the mid-February holiday in commemoration of St. Valentine was still used by Roman men to seek the affection of women. It became a tradition for the men to give the ones they admired handwritten messages of affection, containing Valentine's name.
The first Valentine card grew out of this practice. The first true Valentine card was sent in 1415 by Charles, duke of Orleans, to his wife. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London at the time.
Cupid, another symbol of the holiday, became associated with it because he was the son of Venus, the Roman god of love and beauty. Cupid often appears on Valentine cards.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! =DD
* My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite. *
- William Shakespeare -
training was as usual but just that it was slightly more highly intensified due to the number of people that turned up for the training, and of course the fact that the size was largely increased. It was sure to burn off all the "bah guasss" that the chinese people had stored in their bodies after the long festive break, accompanied by various types of goodies. There are people falling sick too that contributes to the number of people. Nevertheless, we still continued and worked with just the few of us at the beginning until more people started appearing for the training. super-ly intensified man.. run and run and run like no tomorrow. that contributes to my backache now.. but that might be a good sign too.HAHA
finally had managed to get down to do more research for my final year project like after how many days. whenever I felt like starting something, the mood would loiter somewhere far enough to not come back fast. just like when I was preparing for the previous "professional profiling" assignment. the same thing happened but after a long time, I finally managed to settle down and get something done. Guess it's somewhat similar this time round too...
good thing, I managed to start the engine today by engaging in some research and at the same time had the mood to do. At least I have started something or my team mates would kill me!! hehe.. it's going to be due soon...madness !!!!help help help!!!
alrights, back to work again....

back to training! it took me exactly 2 hours to reach the training ground by travelling on three different buses.
little people turned up for the training session today and of those that turned up, most were from youths. drills and game as usual but game was different because had not enough ppl so we combined. Unfortunately, during the game, I somehow lost the right footing during the counter attack and might have cause a sprain.not too sure if it's a sprain but should not be. on the other hand, my old injury returned just after one training session. think should rest and shall decide again on wed.
*sometimes, I should just follow and trust my own feelings*
that's all folks. =D

chinese new year!!
chinese new year this year have been rather different from the previous years. Usually, we would go for visitation and finally our last stop would be at our gran's place but this year is still at the gran's place but just that we are going to our uncle's place to give new year blessings. The difference is that we would usually make a trip down to this uncle's house on any other day during the cny period but it seems that this year we would only be there for one time and this time lunch was to be taken ourselves, so we first went to my aunt's house for lunch first before heading over to the gran's place to give blessings. With all the brand new clothes we put on, my relatives started commenting saying "WAH!, this year why everyone wear dress?" Probably they were shocked that people like my sister or I, who used to be not so elegant are wearing dresses and all. Like some extreme makeover or what. hahahaha!! This year's new year was special because the way we dress are different(all are so pretty and handsome), the plans that we had were also different.
we had dinner gathering together as one big family, then headed to my aunt's place to enjoy because we wanted to have fun by playing some games. Some were playing board games while a few of us ended up watching some movie entitled "chronicles of Narnia", at the same time enjoying the desserts that were prepared for us. that was only the first day....
second day of new year would always be the busiest day for my family because my mum would usually cook a sumptious spread of food consisting of chicken curry, fishball, vegetarian dish, broccoli, prawns, fish and of course a pot of desserts. All these would be ready when my aunts and friends come over to give new year blessings and usually the growing adults and some adults were engaged in a mahjong session, while the kids would be either watching the others playing the PS3 that was provided for or watching some kids movies from my laptop. Good thing I still had them or else they would make lotsa noise. this year is different in a sense that there was not much gambling except for mahjong. board game was the only thing we did..hehe..
third day of new year!...
although the day was not really packed with visitings and all but still it was rather enjoyable and quite memorable. met yati as early as 10am in the morning at the train station to train together before going to wilson's house, den on the way, we met yan zi to go together at the same time since its just along the same train track and headed to pasir ris together where wilson house was. reached his house at about 11.30, played with his daughter for a while before feasting on the wonderful and sumptious food prepared for all of us. food was heaven! after that, we stayed around, chat for quite a bit before heading off to white sands where we helped ourselves to b&j and also yati bought her headphone. we then headed off to changi airport where we spent the rest of the day there as yati was leaving for melborne to further her studies. *-I'm so sure that I would definitely miss you, YATI-*
after sending her off, the rest went off, some to town, some home but hairin and I decided to hang around Terminal 3. It's a wonderful place!! Definitely a nice place to go to for one more time!!
maybe with some............. hhahaahahaha!=D
alrights, think that's about it. will update again soon.

Rusty Dusty
Alright, finally I'm back to blogging and this is the first 2008 entry.haha!! After many reminders of updating my blog since the last time which was in January till now, I finally managed to find the time to update. Have been rather busy since the last time I updated but at the same time lazy to update whenever I had the time because just wanted to relax arh. ha. Anyways, I'm back to update. Maybe be prepared to spend quite some time reading cos it might be long if I remember what happened since then but at the same time might be just things that just happened recently.
If I'm not wrong, in November and December, it was the most hectic months of all because my schedule have been super-ly packed with floorball trainings as well as all the understanding tests that would determine my final EOY grade. Time management was the most important issue here but it did not really work becaue the week was so packed that i hardly even have time for my family. After the pol-ite was the ivp preparatory period. During this period, the training was even more hectic, we were practically training almost 6 days a week due to a higher level of competitiveness. As a result, we have to train harder.in addition, we had a training camp in school just before new year. On that last day of camp, after break camp, we went home, showered den came out to meet again to welcome the new year, a few of us met up and then went back early the next morning. IVP was not our season, we had not performed as well but still I acknowledge the team as ONE TEAM(ADROITS).
After that, we managed to pick ourselves up and encourage one another though that was a rather emotional moment but for me to tone down is easy, just a short run in the open would do the whole job well. hehe=) After the ivp, the team was given a break while some of us were busy preparing for the upcoming league which has just started 2 weeks ago. Attended trainings at VS which is at the other end of the county, which takes 2 hours for me to travel down. Despite that, it has not since discouraged me from going to trainings because of the company, coach, friends and encouragement . So far, I think I fared alright in the games but of course not up to my expectation. I believe that I would be able to perform better in the upcoming games.
* Thanks for words of advice, I will try to work towards it but not sure if it'll work yet.*
Of course during the league period, It's not as busy as the past 2 months but still I'm packed due to the fact that life is unpredictable and many sets in when one ages. This was the period I had to worry about my gran, at the same time spare time for visitations and at the same time reach on time for my games. Travelling and time are very important factors at this point of time. but i thank God that all is fine now.
this entry is for the period before chinese new year.hehehe
