a Day of Tchoukball

hey tooties...

yesterday I had spent my whole morning at CCAB. reached the place as early as 6.40am when I was only required to report at 7.30am on the field, which in this case means that I am like super early. walked around CCAB for quite a while but first went to the ccab building and the first thing that I saw was the refreshing-looking hockey pitch. the eye had glittered all-of-a-sudden.HAHAHA..just kidding.. guess the colour of the pitch was so eye-catching that it refreshed me up since I was rather zombie-fied when I got up so early in the morning just to be at ccab for the sports even organized by the school, CTSS.more students started strolling in and the place became more lively. it just managed to bring me back to the times when my school had the sports meet and everyone would gather at the stadium with the indescribable amount of excitement and fun. those were the times that have been missed since I graduated about two years back.thinking of it, reminds me of the good times I had but nevertheless, I'm still having good times now though..=DD

think the event lasted for 3 hours where all the students will be engaged in at least one sport activity and it was made an inter-house competition where the students will compete with one another but it was made in a way that the upper sec competes with upper sec and lower sec with lower sec. there were quite a number of sports at the event.games such as floorball, tchoukball, frisbee, street-soccer, handball,.... such an interesting way of promoting a healthy lifestyle instead of a sports meet that caters to athletes most of the time.

anyway, I was supposed to be on the field for this sport called Tchoukball. tchoukball is also a new sport to me though.. guess many of us do not really know what the sport is about just like how it seems to me.. let me give you a brief idea of what the sport is about and how it of being played...

Tchoukball

Tchoukball is a genuine team sport. It's a sport that demands great teamwork, Good Observation, Constant Attention from all participants, anticipation and intelligence and of course alertness is important when playing this game. this sport is not a very demanding sport and should not be termed as a dangerous sport as no physical contact and interception of the ball is required in playing this sport.with just 5 minutes explanation of the game basics, everyone will be able to play and enjoy but of course it can be quite an intense game.

Fair play and respect for the opposition is a fundamental part of the way in which tchoukball is played. It is played Without physical contact between players or interception of the ball, so tchoukball players are free to express themselves whilst playing in any way permitted by the rules. At a higher level tchoukball is a very intense, extremely fast and skillful sport allowing individuals to express themselves as part of a team. The technical demands of tchoukball appeal to players who strive after beauty of play. It seems like captain ball or other ball games but just that it ban physical contact and interception of the ball. In order to earn your team a point, any team member will have to throw the ball on the frame and allow it to rebound and hit the ground without anyone catching the ball. it's a rather interesting game to watch but if we were to play, it would be more exciting.

it may not look as fun but when you get to play it, you will experience the joy and thrill of the game. it's worth the time trying this new sport..

think I will update more about the sport soon..
for now, I have to go get ready for my game later...=D

hey tooties!

back to update again after two consecutive days of training since I last trained with my stick.it's been one week since I played on the court as I was out of service for one week due to the flu that affects my breathing and running. was out and was back in action, playing the sport again at training yesterdat at VS. met duck at bedok interchange since she msg-ed me when I was quite near. she decided to wait at the interchange for me to go together since I was already near-ing.while waiting for the bus, we met reena at the interchange and so we went for the training together. upon reaching, we only saw like 6 people in action on court. they were playing 3v3 when we arrived and so we did passing among ourselves first since we needed to warm up abit. training was rather effective despite the number of people who turned up for the training. quite a fast and enjoyable training but quite tiring.end of the day, feel that we have achieved something at least...=)

today..had nothing much and so rested at home for the first half of the day until my cousin who came by in the afternoon to collect his reader's digest that my brother had taken from him since the last visit to his house. talked abit, watched some youtube videos together and had a good laugh before I went to the clinic in the afternoon with my mum.came back around 4.10pm and thought that I was going to join the guys training since there will be a game on sat, can seize the opportunity to train up abit. rushed out of house at 4.35pm thinking that I would be late because training was said to start at 5.30.managed to reach school on time and joined the training though.. got back just in time for din-per(dinner-cum-supper) at like 11 pm..gosh! bad habit but no choice since there was training..
now my body is like quite jelly cos of all the running but the training was quite fun.

think I'd better get going now since I need to get up early tomorrow morning in order to be on time at ccab. goodness! good thing it's located quite near my house though..=D
i'm off for now.. guess I'll be in lala-land in no time..HAHAHA

updates again...

hmmm..seems like another boring day for me here though. was awake as early as 7am and was all ready to leave home at like 7.30am and decided that I shall not leave home that early since my team mates are sure to be later than me and so I switched on this lappy of mine and surf-ed for like 10 mins.talked with yati for a short while before leaving house cos was afraid that I might be late. left home and wonder why I had decided to walk to the train station this morning when I could easily utilise the bus concession I had.maybe, I just wanted to take in the morning air. walked to the train station thinking that I would waste much more time walking cos I was walking like super slowly.took like 20 mins to walk instead of the usual 12 mins walk. boarded the train and reached school like as early as 8.35am when I planned to reach school just on time.

lab went on for only 2 hours and all of us were already ready to leave the lab at 10.30am. now the time that we are going to spend at the lab will be very short, as short as 2 hours because we are mainly, picking, transferring and counting worms..that's why...=)
guess our labwork for this fyp is almost done and we have to set our minds thinking about the report that we have to prepare and the poster for this project.hmmm...

after lab, walked to the agora and met sheryl and the rest who were working there since there was the graduation ceremony today.stayed for awhile and helped by issuing some survey forms to the grads to fill in before dinee who came along and we started loitering around, taking chicken drumsticks and eating.. later part, we helped ourselves to the buffet reception.was not too bad though... decided to come home and rest and pack my stuff since I'll be having training later. came back to take a short nap and now I'm sitting here waiting for the time to head off to vs for training which I think will have quite little people..hmmmm..

guess that's all now..off to pack my training stuff=D

A Day with Delta

hey tooties...

this post will be about today.
today was the only day that I can sleep in and so I managed to catch at least 8 hours of sleep which is the healthy amount of sleeping hours each individual should have to be healthy, which I'm not so healthy because I sleep less than 8 hours almost every other days. came online and decided to transfer some files from my hard disk to my empty abd boring lappy that contains nothing after re-formatting yesterday. re-format is good but bad too. and I found that some files were missing.

was bored for the day since I had no plans for the day and so sya invited me to delta to watch the B div hockey finals between Northland and Teck whye secondary where teck whye eventually brought home the trophy. I stayed on to watch the guys match between SA and RI where SA eventually brought home the trophy in victory. the game was quite interesting to me cos it amazes me by looking at how amazingly the hockey players are able to dribble the ball so smoothly and at the same time ebd with a wonderful shot at times..

watched the prize giving ceremony and how the RI people ended of the season with their school song, followed by their school cheer and some birthday song. how interesting and different it is to watch a floorball and hockey match at different venues..eye-opener!!=D

furthermore, it's my first time at delta. somehow seems like an interesting place to me.haha! no worries!=)

* thanks sya for inviting me down to watch the match at delta and it has never appeared to be boring to me, don't worry=D*

guess that was all for today...
updates soon...=D

-hugs-
hello all...
updates again since I left off on sat I THINK..hehe

sat was a day where I spent at home resting and resting even more.a day for me to rest and recover from the flu which I got since last wednesday. so on sunday was a day that I had slightly more activities than the rest of the break which was a day where I was supposed to be going to church. was supposed to go to the 10am service but somehow or rather I snoozed till like 9.20am and so my sister and I decided that we shall go to the 12pm service together with my brother since he had already wanted to attend the 12pm service. the service was rather interesting as there was a short play included at the start of the service. after service, had initially decided to watch a movie in town with my younger cousin but we met my 2 other cousins in church and asked if they wanted to watch too and they were delighted to watch movies on that weekend and so we decided to watch HORTON after lunch at BPP. after lunch, we headed to the nearest cinema since we were supposed to head to our aunt's house for some dinner that she has prepared for us.

before the movie, we had like some free time so we decided to walk around amk hub to kill time and for my cousin to get some finger food since she was hungry though she just had lunch and so we followed her. managed to meet fariza like in my face!! was looking at some durian puffs I think whenI turned back, a face was like just before my face, and that moment my heart either stopped on the spot or it skipped like 2 beats.. super shocked to meet fariza there though but that's coincidence hurh..89 partner...!=D
movie was alright.was busy laughing but I like the part where the arms went jelly like jellyfish... guessone sentence caught me.."A person is a person. No matter how small...=D".

after movies..went off to my aunt's house for dinner. PRATA!! woooOo..yummmy-licious!!
thanks so much for the dinner.that day had not managed to eat alot though probably cos my appetite was not really back yet and so rest. was rather tired that day actually cos I slept the bus journey from the interchange to my cousin's house that my cousin asked me if I had motion sickness or was just purely tired that day. guess he seldoms sees me sleep on such a short bus journey..haha! went home about 10plus..showered and talked for awhile before proceeding to bed as early as 11.20pm?haah..first time after so long arh...

monday..back to school after almost one week due to the flu. back with the worms and as usual, I was early and so decided to send my lappy to re-format since it has gotten viruses and more viruses that it might not be able to take any time now..haha! while it was being re-format, was busy in the lab picking and transferring worms, counting worms and waiting.then received a call from fariza telling me that the muffins are ready for collection and so I told her I would go to her school to collect since I had so much free time after lab and before training.so met up with sya and 89 partner for lunch at nyp canteen, collected the muffins then headed to amk hub to kill time.. just walking aimlessly like no tomorrow. thanks sya for taking the time out to lunch and walk around aimlessly with me..wahahaha!! =D
then left around 4 for training and I reached school like 4.30 and so decided to take a look at my lappy and did some installation that resulted in me being 5 mins late for training....

training was great cos we managed to like complete a 5km run..PRISON BREAK!! quite nice to run such a distance after so long and we ran continuously but talk at the same time.. overall, I guess pt was alright..training back all our stamina after so long...

guess that was all for the past few days...
update again.=)

rainy SATURDAY

updates again...

good friday was meant to be a day out for most but I decided that it should be a day for me to rest at home since I was down with flu. the flu bug was caught by me thanks to the weather as claimed by the doctor but might be cos my immune is down due to the fact that I have been stressed and worked out by the worms in the lab in RP. think it's a signal for me to take a short break from school.was resting at home and turning drowsy while most were out in town enjoying life. hmmmm

today.. was supposed to be heading to school by 9am but I found that I had headache and was drowsy when the alarm went off at like 6.30am, which was time for me to leave my lala friends alone and head off to school. decided to drop my group mates a message telling them that I'm NOT well and that have to skip this lab session again. was supposed to have training in the afternoon but I was about to be late and so decided to take a train there since I'll be getting my concession from the station before heading to the venue. was at the platform when I decided to check on my phone and found that I had 4 unread messages all stating that "training is cancelled due to external badminton clinic". that gave me a shock cos I almost wanted to board the train though. decided to head out and went to westmall for a short walk since I had nothing much to do at home.bought lunch and headed home.

spent the whole of saturday at home once again..super no life but it's nice to stay home in this ind of weather though.cooling, relaxing, soothing weather but I got bored after watching part 1 of Dreamgirls cos It was dark and tempting me to sleep. went to my bro's bed to laze for awhile before deciding to head to Bukit Timah Food Centre to get the famous soya beancurd that I've been craving for since yesterday.been having lotsa cravings since I fell sick but too bad have to be patient.. cookies, brownies, starbucks..hahaha! decided to take a bus to the food centre and took a nice stroll back home in the light drizzles of the rain.

hope tomorrow will be a better day..=))
let's go out please..
updates again=DD

Good Friday

hey all...

this post may seems religion-related.. so do not be offended if you read it..
just curious to know more about it and share..

Good Friday
On Good Friday, many churches hold 3 hour services meditating on the events leading up to Christ's death: his interrogation, flogging, the mocking by the Roman soldiers, and his journey with the cross to Golgotha, the place of his death. Finally he was stripped naked and nailed to the cross, where he hung in agony for three hours, jeered at by the crowds, before he died. This is the day when people traditionally eat hot cross buns, because the cross on the bun is a reminder of the cross Jesus died on, and a reminder of the Christian belief that Jesus died to save us all. Easter Sunday marks Jesus' resurrection.

Easter Eggs

Originally Easter eggs were painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring and were used in Easter-egg rolling contests or given as gifts. After they were colored and etched with various designs the eggs were exchanged by lovers and romantic admirers, much the same as valentines. In medieval time eggs were traditionally given at Easter to the servants. In Germany eggs were given to children along with other Easter gifts.

Different cultures have developed their own ways of decorating Easter eggs. Crimson eggs, to honor the blood of Christ, are exchanged in Greece. In parts of Germany and Austria green eggs are used on Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday). Slavic peoples decorate their eggs in special patterns of gold and silver.

Austrian artists design patterns by fastening ferns and tiny plants around the eggs, which are then boiled. The plants are then removed revealing a striking white pattern. The Poles and Ukrainians decorate eggs with simple designs and colors. A number of eggs are made in the distinctive manner called pysanki (to design, to write).

Pysanki
eggs are a masterpiece of skill and workmanship. Melted beeswax is applied to the fresh white egg. It is then dipped in successive baths of dye. After each dip wax is painted over the area where the preceding color is to remain. Eventually a complex pattern of lines and colors emerges into a work of art.

In Germany and other countries eggs used for cooking where not broken, but the contents were removed by piercing the end of each egg with a needle and blowing the contents into a bowl. The hollow eggs were dyed and hung from shrubs and trees during the Easter Week. The Armenians would decorate hollow eggs with pictures of Christ, the Virgin Mary, and other religious designs.

Why do we eat easter eggs at Easter?

For Christians, Easter eggs symbolise new life. They believe that, through his resurrection, Jesus defeated death and sin and offers people the promise of eternal life if they follow his teachings. This is why there is a tradition for Christians to be baptised at Easter, which celebrates new life in God.

However, the festival of Easter stretches back to pre-Christian times, too. It gets its name and some symbols, including the Easter Bunny, from the Pagan Spring Equinox festival, which is a celebration of Spring and also of new life...

Easter Bunny

Just as Santa Claus represents Christmas, a hopping life-size bunny with a basket full of colorful eggs is the quintessential image of Easter.

anyway, that's all I have for all about Easter.

have a wonderful Good Friday!
have a wonderful Easter!

off i go...updates soon..=DD

blue cow

hey tooties...

updates again.=)
I'm like awake so early thanks to my brother. hahaha.. was sleeping in his room and so he woke me up to eat. goodness me..

yesterday, was supposed to be in school in the morning for lab but being not well, I decided to stay home to rest more. after that headed to school supposedly for some meeting but the advisor was stuck in the meeting after waiting for 3 hours? while waiting, we went to take some shots before heading off for training, thinking that I could train. When I reach, was having some mild headache and my flu as usual either running like the watertap or blocked like as if a "great wall of china" was there, but instead, "great wall of rigel"! HAHAHAHAHA
so sat there to watch the rest train, watch the drills, watch the ppl enjoy and most importantly, watch and learn. as usual, bus-ed to bedok interchange then change to a long journey. usually would get to sleep but this time my headache got the better of me and I didn't manage to rest a single bit and so I stayed awake till I reach. first time I took a bus where I would practically jump off my seat on a bumpy road. goodness! flew off the sit and back again. quite scary but worsen my headache=S

alright, think that's about all.. should try to get some more sleep first.HAHA

updates on the game on sun..
think our team played well as a whole but particularly my line had not underperformed. coach was shouting and asking us to take more shots and run more. guess it seems very obvious to be seen whenever the effort we put in is different from usual. I thought that the other lines had performed better and very well for this game against the tempest team. this team is a very fast and aggressive team which gives us very little time to decide what to do next. either we act fast or they will act faster than us. think baze did a good job by making many fantastic saves, while jacelyn was fast enough to cover back the defense. game ended in another win.=) all thanks to the line and the team that we manage to secure another win!! let's play our best the next and the next games=D

after the game, as usual, we would ask each other what to improve on and how they thought of my play and think that sometimes I would tend to push too high up and leaves the back too empty, that is worrying if there's a counter attack. another pointer by reena was that I tend to show the ball instead of shielding. I always managed to shield one side but not the other and that's when my ball gets stolen... next game... guess I will just stay back more and allow jacelyn to push higher..it's your turn le.HAHAHA

guess that's all about the game on sunday and while typing this entry, my nose seems to be rushing to somewhere.keeps running and running which can be quite irritating. started in the night where I had not managed to sleep well and thus skipped school in the morning due to the flu and sore throat. all thanks to this that I have to skip my lab session... been having the sneezing spell all day...

think that's all..time to get ready to go training...
take care all...will be back=))

heyall!

updates again.. the weekends was alright to me as it has always been like that. weekends are always filled with floorball. so on sat, went down to watch the combined schools game since I was rather free on saturday afternoon and had decided the match following up next but who knows that it was a walkover and so they played a friendly match against each other since they were already there, they made full use of the court. while watching the match against combined schools and zapf, my slipper suddenly wanted to try flying but failed since it had no wings and as a result, landed in the court below. so embarassing and guilty please!! imagine if IT hit the person on the head, that would be the end of me....

after the match, I rushed home to make some jelly for the skools people to eat either before or after their match on sunday afternoon. Just a treat to all of you since I'm free. hardly am free to do things like this though..HAHA
after that headed to vivo cos my sister wants to buy some jacket or what from pull and bear. my cousin tagged along with my aunt since he wants to buy pants/jeans from s&k. I followed him to look since his mum was parking the car and we spent at least 30mins at that shop.my goodness..bored me out and so I went out for a short walk while he stayed at the shop while waiting for his mum to settle the payment. refused to leave the shop, guess he was worried that the pants will be sold.LOLs!

yesterday.! as per normal..school lab in the morning with worms and more worms but it was slightly different yesterday, we had to do a presentation on the results that we have found from the experiments that we performed.after that, did some picking of worms and then off we went. had to meet jac at amk station at 3.15 and so I left school at 2.30 in order to reach just on time..
the friendly, guess it was more of an ice-floorball friendly instead of a floorball friendly. ended up my ankle got injured cos of the slippery-ness of the flooring cos think I brake/stop in a wrong manner, hence injuring.. hai.. wonder how they play on that court so dim and slippery.(no offences).. but I would say that I enjoyed the friendly too!

alright, I'm off to do up my 3 entries of the logbook..haven been updating it too..HAHA
signs off........................

diLemma

hey tooties...

been another day at school with the wormies once again. picking, transferring, checking and of cos torturing the worms by increasing the temperature(incubating).HAHAHA..actually it's not really to torture but to check how well it adapts to a changed environment and at the same time how long it lives.

finally, it's a bright sunny day after raining continuously for two days and to the point where we need to wear jacket and long pants at home, and even hide under the blankies in the night.the weather'[s been tempting me to want to stay at home and not wanting to step out of the house any time as the weather is ever so wonderful to rest and sleep in. training will not be resuming just yet till further notice and so decided to head home after lab.went home, took a small bite and sat in front of the laptop once again.that's more or less my usual routine nowadays. but there is a need to backup my files in case my laptop crashes any time now due to the number of viruses that have been found living well in my lappy.

now am currently able to updatre after trying since just now cos the moment I sit down, this tasha would come and disturb me for whatever reasons it has, which I don't know of.keep jumping at me, jump at my face to kiss, then jump at my arms till I got at least a 5cm scratch mark! rargh..! disfigured arm.. =(

anyways, think that's all..kinda forgotten what I wanted to type though..

*Happy Birthday to You Cousin Alex*

rest day

hey tooties!

updates again...

yesterday....
before training, was in school as early as 8.30am for my FYP which has been ongoing for the past week intensively. it usually ends 3.30pm but recently, it ends by lunch time and that's when I'll be free and rotting in the library. either that or I will find company for the rest of the time.but since it was raining, I've decided to stay in the cosy corner of the library and read some book on cancer and at the same time using the lappy as my source of entertainment to keep me company for like 5 hours to the time to leave for training. managed to catch 30mins of power nap while chatting and then was awoken. found that the library was quite a conducive environment to study but feels like it's snowing, what's more, it was pouring outside! haha! good thing I had people to talk to me to keep me company otherwise I'll be bored to death! hahaha!

*thanks many many!*

had training...
as usual we did drills, little fitness and of cos game. game time was more fun and enjoyment but quite tiring. run and run but started laughing at a certain point.that scene was rather funny though.lols! had played 2 to 3 periods of 20mins each and so the training ended slightly later than usual. by the time we were ready to leave, it was already 10.20 to 10.30. walked out of the school with duck first. waited at the bus stop for the rest but it seemed like they took forever and soon my bus came, so I decided to board the bus since I'll be going a different way from them.

reached the interchange at about 10.4o and boarded the second last bus. of cos if i took the earlier bus, I would reach home earlier and so I managed to grab some food and eat on the bus since it would be a long journey home.

today...
decided to seize the opportunity to take the day to rest and recover all the lost hours of sleep.the weather was the best-est weather to sleep in and so I only decided to get out of the comfy bed at 12.30 after lazing for like 45mins.how lazy can I get? but that's only for today cos I'll be back to school early tomorrow morning and that means no more sleeping in. late afternoon, helped my mum with some jelly making as requested by my cousin since it's his birthday tomorrow. his mum has kindly invited us over for dinner and so mum told me to keep myself free tomorrow evening for the mini celebration! haa

wells..the whole of today was spent at home. sounds boring but good for me.HEHE
alrights, guess that's all I have for today.
be back... =D

Tuesdays with Lappy

hello again!

spent the whole of today at home. guess it's an opportunity for me to stay at home and rest since I need not go to school to look at any worms or look into the microscope. kind of afraid of getting cross-eye anytime soon. no wonder most scientists are wearing glasses! hahaha! spent the whole day on the laptop but managed to take a short break from it till about 9 when I decided that it's time to start doing my fyp logbook again. the logbook is a session by session update and so it is best to update before the next session as we tend to forget the details by the next session.

the weather today was great and it permits me to take a short nap before dinner time. it is ever so tempting that the moment I lie on bed, I sure go drowsy and ta-daa... lala-land-ing! hurrR!!

think that's all for today.. will be back=))

hey tooties...

haven't been updating for the past few days so let me briefly tell you about it.

friday was a half a day spent in lab and another half of the day was spent at valhall. but of course, lab is always as boring as we always deal with the same things; worms. HAHA! it has more or less been the pet of our team. everyday, step into the lab, " Let's check on the worms!" haha.. then after that bring the worms for a swim, then change their house.hahaha.. anyway, training was at valhall with the mjc ppl. quite fun to play with them though. friendly ppl!
after training, was sitting around at valhall, went outside the court to do our stretching while enjoying the natural breeze. so cooling and gives a very nice feeling. the place is nice but the court is a bit too small but nevermind, it's still good to train at different places to have a feel of the court.after that, some of them went to shower while some continues sitting around and talked in the breeze. thereafter, we headed off for dinner. had initially wanted to go to the leisure park for dinner but in the end went to KFC instead after a long break from fastfood, everyone has the craving for KFC.haha!

game was in the evening but I end up reaching the court at about 11.45 to help match sect. match sect-ing has more or less became my part-time job every weekend since the league started. after that, watched the matches and by the time we needed to change, felt quite lethargic prolly due to the long day spent. guess the game was good as it portrayed the team effort and drive to want the game but somehow I couldn't perform. yup! sorry for not performing but will make it up this coming game. =D

sunday was another day at the same place. I think the place has more or less became my third home apart from my school, school lab and my home, I have a new place now, jwsh. haha! match sect for the guys then continued to watch the rest of the games except for the last match. was supposed to leave halfway through the combined schools game but had to stay cos I needed to guide ppl who are match sect-ing. in the end rushed off to my aunt's house again. this time round we ate thosai..wow-ed! her maid's culinary skills were superb man.. guess every sunday would be a day to dine in at my aunt's house. after dinner, was in the room with my cousins all talking and joking and we totally ignored the dog who was outside.then it suddenly trot into the room dunno for whatever reason and jump at my face!!! natural reaction was to back and in the process my back cracked and guess my back muscle was strained. damn painful! that was not all that it did, it walked out then trotted back in and jump at my cousin's stomach. she practically fell back on the bed.HAHAHA! that was super funny..haha. super mischievous dog !

monday was lab again but was clumsy enough to forget to bring my training gear of all other things. good thing I still had the time to go home, collect my stuff and came out again for training. went out early as I didn't want to stay home further cos I might just fall asleep and get lazy disease and never leaves for training. .lols! training I thought was good and beneficial. anyway, THANKS Octaby! HAHAHA!!! =DD

hey tooties...

yesterday..had stayed at home the whole day since it's the day that I need not return to school to check out the worms and have anything to do with the worms. lols! firstly, I managed to get sufficient rest and sleep but just even before I decided to get out of bed, my brother had already came into the room to wake me up because it's not too early anymore. While doing so, he was preparing himself to go out, probably to his friend's house, but I ignored him and continued with my beauty sleep.hehehe.. decided to get out of bed an hour later when my body alarm came on to chse me out of the bed. lols!

then proceeded to the lappy to continue with the next half of my day which I spent on my lappy reading up the past literature reviews and read up on our team's protocol. read up abit and till around the late afternoon, wanted to watch some online movies but did not manage to ultimately cos my eyes just lost the concentration after spending 4+ hours in front of this screen. went to the room to take a short nap(powernap) hehe! then I received a message from mw,asking me if I wanted to join the guys training but apparently I was already in bed and body has turned jello and lazy.hahaha! continued with the nap to refresh myself.haa!

in the night, I spent about 3 hours in order to complete my logbook which needs to be updated after every lab session and to be checked by the facilitator today. due to all the distractions, tv, computer, sister, brother, I only managed to finish the last sentence of the logbook at 11.15 pm.haha! after I managed to help my sister edit her team's english project on cell phones cos I'm so used to doing ppts that I don't mind helping to do.lols!

now...I'm sitting here in the lab rotting away as my lab ended early. it ended as early as expected. Just when I expect it to drag longer, it ends much earlier than usual but today when I told my faci I need to leave 2.45 the latest, she said she hopes to end before that.think she is sick and tired of going and staying in the lab for hours. hahaha!! guess I will have to go for training later though. the journey is like wow...

think i'M off already... seeee you

hey tooties..

basically, wednesday was not much exciting but still I spent another day in the lab. This time round we did almost the same thing but wonder why I was so enthusiastic about everything in the lab. we were supposed to have 5 team members present but in the end one had not turned up without informing us whether he was still coming or why he was not here for the lab session.the session had started later as we had not anything much to do. basically, we checked worms, seed plates. prepare solutions, pick worms and of course, we killed worms too!! hahaha..this time round they swam(struggled) in all styles, breaststroke, freestyles,butterfly,dog-style,wormss style.HAHAHA

just as we thought we were done with everything, two of my team mates left as they thought that there was nothing much to do. since one of my team mate was still waiting for the plates to dry, I waited for her while spending time at my lappy chatting away.hahaha. just as we were about to leave at 4, the lecturer said that we were supposed to keep the plates in a container and before we do so, we should parafilm it. By looking at the BSC equipment, we were like "OH NO", there are so many plates to be parafilmed and mind you that we had only 2 members and 210 plates to parafilm. Without further delay, we started out and guess team work is very important here. One would help to cut the parafilm as well as transfer the plates out of the BSC to be parafilmed while I parafilmed. that was practically just a scene of factory workers. Lols!! was telling my team mate I feel like i'M working in a factory now cos we do the same thing repeatedly and very fast.hahaha

after that, left for training at VS.the bus was just like a stimulated-refrigerator... was practically freezing in the bus despite wearing a jacket. think I just need to wear a winter coat on that bus. can't wait to get off that bus man.will probably see a block of rigel instead of rigel.

training was alright. went for dinner at Bedok hawker after training and headed to catch the train back with mare as I missed the last bus already.haha. the train journey was super=duperly hilarious! It was also meant to help straighten my back.. haha!
there was this person sitting next to me who fell asleep shortly after I boarded the train and when he slept, he was like bumping all over, forwards, backwards and sidewards. he started to bob towards my direction and so from leaning back, I sat up straight. so that he can bob all he wants instead of knocking into me and worse later hit my head. then he started hitting his head against the sides of the train and never felt it. he still continue sleeping and he knock not only once but several times from like payar lebar to queenstown. he knocked onto his other neighbour who practically jumped up cos she got a shock and so I started laughing and laughing non-stop cos I keep hearing him hit the window "pup pup pup" but can still continue sleeping.you can just see the two of us not leaning back but only I sat up straight.another time while I was messaging, mare suddenly grabbed me which made me jump cos I got a shock! hahaha..! funny

alrights, think I gotta go.. update again.

Tuesdays with Wormies

hey tooties!

practically HALF of my tuesday was spent with worms in the wonderfully lam with white painted walls, cabinets filled with tubes and equipments as well as microscopes. The whole of today was spent with my BELOVED C.elegans worms regardless of whether we are picking, checking, playing or killing the worms, still the whole day was with them from 8.30am in the morning till 3.30pm in the noon. today was more interesting because we actually were given the chance to pick out worms from the plates that had cultured worms and place them into another newly seeded plate where there is a drop of bleach for us to experiment on. When we place the worms into the bleach, the worms are expected to dissolve leaving the eggs but instead we saw the worms swimming like freestyle(struggling) in the bleach.

we then decided to synchronize another reagent similar to the household bleach but it seemed more potent cos the worms dies after moving 3 times the most in the agent. We have killed like 8 worms in total just in one day. madness!! someone says that I'm cruel and that I should turn vegetarian! haha!! funnnny

anyway, after lab, headed off to the sports hall to watch the C div ladies finals between teck whye and KC and in the end teck whye won because of the penalty. The teck whye supporters were being mean to give pressure to the KC penalty takers by making lots of noise. guess that was not supposed to be the way and the worse thing was that it was instructed by one of the teachers in charge.hmph! angry!haha..
whatever it was, teck whye still won but kc girls played well too=D after the match, went out for a short chat session and decided not to bother much but care more about my academic as it is more important this year! hope to do well to get into uni though..

but..I'm upset about the woodlands regional interchange.super pissify-ing man! if you were to wait 45mins just for one bus to get home for dinner, how would you feel? haiz.. think the bus driver have been sleeping on the bus that he forgot to drive it out at 15min intervals.haha!at that point of time, I see many people just climbing over the railings to catch another bus at the next berth but I insisted on staying cos I tot the bus would be coming soon. who knows, it came like after 45 mins.haiz! disappointing.. its not the first time already..

anyways, I just completed 3 entries on my fyp logbook before updating.hehe!
off i go...

hey tooties!

I'm back to update again after being gone on a long break from here.haha! nothing much took place though but was back to school on thursday just for the sake of the one hour or so of checking on the worms and at the same time performing some subculturing of the worms due to some contamination which we have no idea where it came from.after that, went for a fruitful lunch at banquet and followed by heading to the fatpipe warehouse with jacelyn as she had wanted to get a new stick and so in the end she bought herself a new freak stick. hahaha. so happy for her too.

friday was nothing much but ended up meeting jacelyn and hairin in school early to watch the C div games while hairin went to the gym to do some strengthening of her body. before that, met jacelyn and bought lunch before heading to school to watch the game as we were bored and had nothing to do and since there was training later in the evening, we decided to watch.

on sat, was superly tired as a result of the previous night. Had spent the night over at meiwens house since it was too late to return home, which was in bukit batok and so headed to her house first. her dog, is super duperly hyper that night, keep licking me the moment I stepped into her house and even after I shower, I was still being licked by him.hahaha! cute la he.. slept close to 3am and then woke up around 8 the next day to prepare to head home from her house to pack and prepare for the game that afternoon.

overall, I think we played well as a team! good job!! =D

guess that's all for this entry though.. i'll update soon and not too long later.hehe ",

* Happy Birthday, Melissaaaa!!! *
